All of our conferences are intended for all health care professionals who have an interest in migraine and other headache disorders and are eager to learn on how to stay on the cutting edge of headache medicine. Please see “Intended Audience” for more information.
DHC Research & Educational Foundation offers two national four-day conferences (Orlando, FL & San Diego, CA) and a one-day local seminar (Chicago, IL). The agendas for each conference can vary but typically start at 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM and may be over anywhere between 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Additional workshops and symposiums are offered after adjournment, so attendees who register for these activities may end at a later time.

Conference registrations must be accompanied by payment. Course registration is not confirmed until payment is received.

Registration includes access to the conference, the course syllabus in PDF format, daily breakfast and lunch, refreshment breaks, and other sponsored events.
No, we do not charge a late fee for registration. On-site registration for each conference is available.

If you are unable to attend and need to cancel your registration, you will receive a refund minus a processing fee as long as the request for cancellation is received prior to the deadline. The processing fee for both four-day conferences is $100.00 and the processing fee for the one-day seminar is $50.00. Cancellation deadlines vary per conference which is typically 2 weeks before the course start date. Please be sure to check the brochure for the conference you are registered for to ensure that you do not miss the cancellation deadline. Please allow 3-5 business days to process cancellation requests. A confirmation of cancellation and your refund receipt will be e-mailed to the e-mail you provided upon registration.

All requests for cancellations must be sent via e-mail to jdeleon@diamondheadache.com before the deadline.

Registration fees are non-refundable for cancellation requests received after the deadlines and to attendee “no-shows”.

Once registered, your registration receipt will be automatically e-mailed to the e-mail you provided upon registration. You will also receive a separate e-mail that includes registration confirmation, receipt, conference details and information on additional CME activities.
Yes. If you registered for the conference, you must check in at the DHC Course Registration Desk to sign in and obtain your meeting materials, meeting badge, and any pre-purchased Course Syllabus USB Flash Drives. Sign-in is necessary to enter the conference area and to receive CME credit. Badges are required to enter all event activities. Pre-registration is available for your convenience, please check your course brochure to see dates and times.

No. We no longer provide print-outs of the lectures/course syllabus. The course syllabus is only available electronically in PDF format. A link to access the electronic course syllabus will only be e-mailed to registered attendees a few days before the course start date. In order for you to receive this e-mail, you must be subscribed to our mailing list. Please be sure to check your e-mail and to download your course syllabus as soon as it is made available to you – we do not recommend you print the whole file as it is approximately 1,250 – 3,500 pages long.

If you prefer, you may purchase a USB Flash Drive that contains the course syllabus. You may elect to purchase the USB Flash Drive upon course registration. You will receive the USB Flash Drive upon check-in at the DHC Course Registration Desk. USB Flash Drives are also available for purchase on-site.

You are welcome to bring your laptop or tablet, this may be helpful to you if you want to view the course syllabus and follow along with the lectures. WIFI is available at all conferences, however we cannot guarantee access to outlets to recharge your device.
All of our conferences have been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the ACCME through the joint providership of Primary Care Network (PCN) and the DHC Research & Educational Foundation. Please see “Continuing Medical Education” for more information.
You are required to self-report your credits based upon the actual hours attended, this must be reported on the Primary Care Network online evaluation form. CME credits you claim will be validated via your registration and sign-in at DHC Course Registration Desk.
To receive your CME certificate, you must complete the Primary Care Network online evaluation form. This evaluation form will be e-mailed to you and will be made available on our website for the duration of the conference. Deadlines for the evaluation form varies per conference, so please be sure to check your conference brochure, meeting materials, and course syllabus to ensure you do not miss the deadline. Your CME certificate will populate immediately upon completion of the Primary Care Network online evaluation – be ready to print and/or save your CME certificate at that time. A copy of your certificate will also be e-mailed to the e-mail you provided on the evaluation form. Evaluations must be completed on or before the deadline. The online evaluation system will close immediately after the deadline, and no certificates will be issued.

Yes. Our conferences are held at family-friendly resorts/hotels that offer great amenities. With family in mind, we purposely plan our conferences around weekends and summer vacation so that you may bring an accompanying guest or your family. Our conferences are also held near attractions or events for you, your guest or family to enjoy. Please see your course brochure to see the amenities that the resorts/hotels offer, near-by attractions or events.

While our conferences are family-friendly, we respectfully ask that no accompanying guests or family members are brought to the conference area. All conference activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit halls, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (children, family, other guests) are not allowed in the event areas.
You are responsible for all transportation arrangements to and from the conferences. Shuttle services are available for reservation at your own convenience and expense – see more about available Shuttle Services for both conferences in Orlando, FL and San Diego, CA.
We do negotiate special room rates with each resort/hotel. Special room rates/group rates are only available to registered meeting attendees. You must register for the conference before you book your room reservation to receive special room rates. Special room rates are limited and are based on availability. Please look at the website or course brochure for each conference for pricing, deadlines, and other details to receive the special rates.
Yes. Daily breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks are available for attendees only. A badge is required for all meal functions.
Attire for the conference is business-casual. Please bring a sweater or light jacket to the educational sessions as meeting room temperatures and personal comfort levels vary.
